Holiday Cards at Rock Paper Scissors

Now that Thanksgiving is officially behind us (although I think that I am still full!), we can get pumped for the holiday season ahead – my favorite time of year!  Rock Paper Scissors has an awesome selection of seasonal cards, both custom and pre-designed.

Trend Alert: Blind Letterpress

There is no comparison to how letterpress paper feels in your hands…and, with this lovely blind letterpress, the texture of the paper feels nice and the appearance offers a subtle beauty…

The “Caroline” designs by Page Stationery are available at Rock Paper Scissors.

Clean, modern yet traditional – I LOVE — especially this Umi option…

Valentine’s Day Cards

As a product of my crafty childhood memories of making cards with construction paper, stamps, doilies and glitter, I absolutely L-O-V-E Valentine’s Day!

This week, I was working on a grown up version of hand made cards (is this an oxymoron?)…and, after a few hours of crafting, I realized that I would be way wiser to head to Rock Paper Scissors to pick up any of these adorable cards!  They are SO many cute and clever options!

Belly Band Invites

Earlier this week we talked about postage for your invites…so, while on the subject of invites, I wanted to share with you this adorable trend that Heather of Rock Paper Scissors told me about recently – Belly Bands!

This little extra strip of paper by 42 Pressed adds style and depth to a design and I just love it!

Wedding Postage

Over the next few weeks, many spring wedding brides will be mailing their invites while fall wedding brides will be sending their save the dates.  When you are sending these important mailings, a word to the wise: be sure to double check – actually, triple check – the postage!

With the weight of the paper, the size or shape of the envelopes, it is more often than not that your save the dates or invites will require more than a 0.44 cent stamp.

There are unique and beautiful stamp options to consider.  Antique stamps on Champion Stamps or eBay, custom stamps on Zazzle, or traditional postage from the US Postal Service all can help to set the tone of your wedding.  You can check the postage here but I strongly recommend you go to the Post Office in person to weigh and confirm the postage for your envelopes.  Of course, pull the internationals as they are a bit more…And, don’t forget to also confirm and apply the reply card envelope’s postage, too, for your guests’ convenience.
